The Commonwealth of Massachusetts

have founded many towns in the Midwest and Northwest, and have developed the technologies
that have enabled mankind to explore outer space.
One of the original colonies, Massachusetts is where "the shot heard round the world" occurred signifying the start of the Revolutionary War.

Massachusetts industry has evolved from primarily one of fishing to one of many different industries.
Industries such as computers, tourism, insurance, healthcare and manufacturing now dominate.
